Elif Göktepe

Av. Arb. Elif Göktepe graduated with honours from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law and completed her legal traineeship at Okan&Okan Law Firm, working there in company, cooperative, enforcement and insolvency, and tenancy law. A graduate of the thesis-based master’s programme in private law at Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Social Sciences, Av. Elif Göktepe wrote her thesis on Building Completion Insurance in Pre-Paid Housing Sales, covering construction law, consumer law and Turkish commercial law. With this thesis, building completion insurance in pre-paid housing sales was examined at doctrinal level for the first time in Türkiye, making it a first in the field. Published as a book by Yetkin Yayınları, this work is key to many important issues in Turkish law.

Since joining Kaptan Avukatlık ve Danışmanlık Bürosu in 2017, she has provided legal advice in many areas, notably contract law, employment law, mining law, and trademark and patent law, to numerous companies and groups of companies operating in fields such as private security, staffing, mining and medical services. She mainly represents corporate clients before administrative and judicial authorities. As Managing Lawyer, she is responsible within the firm’s internal operations for the lawyers and trainee lawyers.

In addition to practising law, she holds the title of mediator registered with the Ministry of Justice and acts as a specialist mediator in consumer law and in commercial law.
